Things to know about Paragliding activity before doing it.
Paragliding is not recommended for women who are pregnant.
The minimum age required for Paragliding is 12 years.
Weight Limit is a major concern in Paragliding activity – weight limit differs in different seasons of the Year in Bir Billing. October to December and February to April – weight limit is 25 kg to 90 kg and weight limit for Jan, May, and June is 30 kg to 90 kg. If a Person's weight exceeds 90 kg, the pilot has to carry a bigger glider but is subject to the fitness of the person and wind conditions.
A person who has undergone major surgery of heart or other not recommended to do gliding. If any injury in the elbow, knee, spinal, or back pains – is suggested not to do paragliding and to inform the pilot prior.
A person suffering from anxiety issues, or height phobia is not suggested to do paragliding.
Consumption of Alcohol and restricted drugs is strictly prohibited before Paragliding activity.
Avoid heavy food before Paragliding. The drive to the paragliding take-off point is 45 min which is a hilly mountain road.
Do not carry any item with you during paragliding, and there is no place to hang things with you, as it causes inconvenience and is not safe. Keep your wallet and mobile in a zipped pocket or hand them over to Pilots as chances of slipping from your pocket into the air. Paragliding is subject to weather conditions, paragliding may be stopped due to bad wind, rain, snow, and thunder, and resume post-weather is normal.
If paragliding is canceled due to weather conditions, it can be postponed to the next day or can be canceled as per guests convenience and payment refunded (sometimes charge a minimum amount for transportation).
Need to Carry an Aadhar Card or valid photo ID and need to fill out Liability forms before paragliding.
Need to carry a jacketin all seasons as take-off-point is cold throughout the year. Wear full pants, and laced shoes during flight.
Activity of Paragliding opens from mid-September to mid-July and closes during monsoon.
October, November, December, February, March, and April are good for long paragliding sessions.
Suggested not to ask pilots for stunts as it is not safe for gliders, create high tension on glider slings. The paragliding association banned it.
Must ask whether the pilot has a license and experience.
Check whether pilots have not consumed alcoholic and restricted drugs.
